Gathering on Sunday and living life together in a Community Group are our primary ways of living life and growing together. In addition, the Mars Hill Lake City Campus hosts regular events to teach and equip our church family to be ministers of the gospel.

Monthly, PRAXIS features connection, teaching, and discussion, targeting different demographics and life stages to teach men, women, and singles as well as bringing our whole church together for spiritual disciplines like feasting, fasting, and prayer. PRAXIS debuts October 2008 with:

1. REAL MEN, first Wednesday of the month, 6:30pm - 9pm
2. Single| Serving, second Wednesday of the month, 6:30pm - 9pm
3. Ladies Night - third Wednesday of the month, 6.30pm - 9pm
4. ALL-CHURCH EVENT - fourth Wednesday of the month, 6.30 - 9pm

Each aspect of our targeted ministry is elaborated on below:

• REAL MEN (starts October 1st)
  

Building up Biblical Men for Battle, Real Men is a gathering of testosterone and teaching,
tempering and testimony, connecting and commissioning. Mars Hill Church in Lake City gathers
its men monthly to address needed areas of growth, as individuals and as a congregation. Get
real with other men each month as we hear from pastors and panels about life in this city and not
only surviving, but thriving, as image-bearers and agents of transformation for Jesus, our hero
and king.

• SINGLE | SERVING (starts October 8th)
  

Something is wrong with you. Everybody else has somebody else. Looks like everyone around
you is taken. A good Christian would be married already. What’s your problem? There are plenty
of lies culture feeds us about singleness, sex, and marriage, but equal pressure and bad counsel
abound in your church family. What does the Bible say? What counsel do mature Christian
singles and married couples have to share? Single men and women are invited to join pastors
and leaders and discuss over an evening of fellowship, teaching, and table discussion.

• LADIES NIGHT (starts October 15th)
  

Join women of all ages and walks of life to connect, converse, laugh and learn. Ladies Night is
hosted by female leaders of our church so that young women can join older women, singles can
meet the married and the moms, and all can grow in Jesus as mature Christian women instruct
through a combination of fun, fellowship and teaching.

• OKTOBERFEST 2008 (October 22, our first fourth-Wednesday event)

There is a time for preaching and a time for partying, and for the Christian both are God-glorifying acts of worship. Join us for sausage, apple pancakes, and a few other Oktoberfest traditions in this event fun and fit for the whole family. If you’re new to Mars Hill, it’s a great place to connect with our church family. Pastor James will share briefly in the middle on the theology of partying but only long enough to give the festivity its second wind. There will be something for everyone including the kids as we value the WHOLE church coming together.

NOTE: This is a community-built event, featuring coordinated dinner and dessert! Members and
participants who are on “The City”, our online network, can sign up to make or donate elements of
the party. Community Groups are encouraged to collaborate. If you’re new to Mars Hill, the night
