Thanks and Giving Continue…
We’ve been accepting donations for the Lake City Food Bank, and just because we’ve passed Thanksgiving doesn’t mean it’s too late to contribute. As many of us are out shopping and getting a jumpstart on Christmas gifts and planning, remember to get something above and beyond for those in our community who are struggling this season and bring it on Sunday, November 30.
Paul instructs Christians in 1 Timothy to “do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life” (Jesus Christ).
Specifically requested items are stuffing mix, potatoes, cranberry sauce, canned tuna and chicken, soup, canned fruits and vegetables, shampoo, soap, baby food, and baby formula. Join us in this simply act of loving others and pray about how this can become more than an event… and ever more a part of who you are in Christ.
