Lake City Victorious, but the real winner is Vision Nationals
This Sunday flyers are being distributed at our Lake City services to raise awareness about Vision Nationals, my friend Arjuna’s incredible ministry having significant impact in India as well as Thailand and Nepal.
We’re also blessed to have a Vision Nationals worker, Lauren Hunter, as a member of our campus. She informed me of the recent happenings at our “Crushin’ for a Cause” fundraiser for Vision Nationals new medical ministry:
“I’m proud to inform you that the Lake City campus was home to BOTH the championship teams from August’s “Crushin for a Cause” Softball and Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. Michael Pepera and the “Guinness Tossers” arose victorious in the championship game against the Shoreline-populated “Disc Jockeys” in the first annual Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. In softball, the championship game went to an extra inning with Jeremy Alaniz and the Dunn Construction softball team coming out on top to take the Championship, making Lake City the home of two Champion Teams!”
“Not only was the sunny Saturday a beautiful day to hang out and play games with friends, but we also heard from Pastor Mike Gunn of Harambee Church in Renton, and we raised $1500 for Vision National’s Life Medical Clinic and MHC | Sports.”
On behalf of Lauren, a big THANKS to all the volunteers and players who came out this summer to raise funds for a worthy cause. On behalf of Arjuna, Vision Nationals, and the cause of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I pray we will all take a look at our hearts and wallets and consider long term giving to this mission. That’s the real way to knock it out of the park.
