Home Cooking and Outdoor Flicks round out BUSY weekend…
Guillermo Del Toro helped us kick off this weekend with a trip through Pan’s Labyrinth at our monthly Cinemagogue Event. Fortunately, Saturday’s New Member Day Barbecue at the Campus won’t involve the Pale Man or anyone with eyes in their hands… just great food and great company with great weather on the forecast.
With a Devotional on feasting like Jesus, outdoor and indoor seating, hamburgers, hot dogs and good company, it will make a great start for a double-event day that culminates in the Sixth Annual Wedgwood Outdoor Cinema. Mars Hill Members will attend the event, help with the Kids’ games that start at 7.30pm, watch Bend it Like Beckham starting between 9 and 9.30, and cleaning up as a community service to those from the community who join in on the neighborhood event. There will also be a special “cinemagogue presents” handouts examining aspects of the evenings movie.
Look for the Mars Hill Sign for the evenings flyer before the movie; Mars Hill members will gather near the inflatable screen as the credits roll. Hope to see you there!
