A Life Marked by Prayer
We took a break from our sermon series on Philippians in November, and I had the opportunity to preach from the apostle Paul’s life and example to the importance of prayer in the life of the believer. Drawing from Colossians 4 and other passages, this was an important text to set the tone of our campus launch before we get to active outreach and mission.
Too often we attach prayer as a lead-in to “more important” things (a bible study, a meeting, steak and potatoes) instead of actually truly having lives marked by a conversant relationship with our Creator. While I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions, this season would be a good time for each of us to examine that rhythm of our life and guided the message delivered on Thanksgiving weekend at our Wedgwood Campus.
