Are you Grateful for your Bread?
Grateful Bread is an independent bakery and cafe located just down the street from MHC | Wedgwood. They offer homemade bagels, breads, cookies, pies and will most likely be supplying us with our communion bread. They also offer free wi-fi with their friendly service.
Can you imagine living in the apartments just to the north of Grateful Bread? How wonderful would it be to smell fresh baking bread so often? (And how frustrating for those on a low-carb diet).
Even better, it is a great place where you’ll see a wide variety of clientele; grey hair, purple hair, long hair, no hair… tattoos, suits, sandals, baseball caps and bandanas… construction workers and schoolteachers, Microsoft executives and musicians… the diversity in the cafe, brought together by baked goods, makes for a great place to hang out.
It’s not unlike the vibe and eclectic mix we’re looking for as we hold church services at our Wedgwood Campus, breaking bread together but brought together by Jesus.
Check them out online here, then go get some fresh bread… and be Grateful!
